BIOGRAPHY

I come from a family with a
tradition of embroidering the
truth, of storytelling. Ghosts and
Cherails, She- Demons with
back turned feet that live in trees, populated my waking imagination
and dreams. Long bored, I watched television and videos constantly,
as my mother deemed the outside
world too dangerous for us.

When I moved alone to London I attended a club with an alien band
of fetishists called 'La Maitresse'.
From then on I worked in clubs,
and other shadowy places, making
mental notes of the people I met
along the way. I have written for magazines, and had short stories published.

More seriously I have been fortunate
to work with Michael Pakleppa and
his partner Joe Dryer at Hollywood Classics, in film distribution and
product development. This involved
script reading and writing, film review
and filmmaking as well as attending festivals.

I have attended a Media course at
North East London College. On the course I have produced and directed
five short films.

THE ROAD TO ENLIGHTENMENT

A HAWK STOLE THE SCARF OF SILK FROM A PRETTY CHILD IN THE STREET.

IT FLEW AWAY, TOWARD A MOUNTAIN PEAK.

I KNOW IT INTENDS

TO WEAR DOWN THE FACE, WITH A FLUTTERING STREAK.

WHILE THE HAWK FLIES BACK AND FORTH,

I CREEP TO ITS NEST AND SEE TWO CHATTERING CHICKS.

IN COLD SHADOW THEY COWER, HUNGRY. THE HAWK FLIES BACK AND FORTH.

TO ME IT IS CLEAR THAT MOUNTAIN, IS BLOCKING THEIR SUN.
